SB460 - Appointed CCSD Board of Trustees granted voting authority

SB460

Following the 2023 state legislative session, the Council supported the passage of AB175, which added 4 appointed Trustees to the CCSD Board of Trustees. While the presence of the appointed Trustees added perspective and dialogue to Trustee board discussions, they were not permitted to vote under existing law. The passage of SB460 during the 2025 session now provides voting authority to the appointed Trustees.
